Second, being a member subscribes you to our email list, which means that you will be notified of new posts. If you do not wish to receive these new-post emails, just tell us via the “Contact Us” page after you register, and we will take you off the email list. In either case, we will not make any use, public or private, of your email address. Ever. Period.

We must call your attention to one particular post on the site, which you really should read before you join. Please read and consider Ground Rules for the Eloquent Atheist. Do so carefully. If you do not abide by these rules, you will be cut from the membership list and barred from accessing the site. Period.
