The Third Window

On The Left Of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church

The sun spills into
The stained-glass window
Of a figurine; androgynous
But pleasing with
Long golden hair.
She looks out
Over a river
That flows through
A village of stone castles
With iron grates.
Maybe it symbolizes
Her jailed desires.
That would be worldly
To the church
And not exactly skirt
The proper interpretation.
